When Ashley Quamme and I set out to start Trove, we felt something was missing in the industry. Specifically, we felt like advisors were missing a community that focused on practical advice and guidance on the behavioral side of financial planning. To address this, we wanted to create a space where advisors could receive specific, actionable feedback on client scenarios and ways to incorporate behavioral assessments to address challenging client situations. Most importantly, we wanted to facilitate a community that learns from one another. That’s how Trove was born!
Trove is a unique community for advisors. We have tackled numerous topics over the past few months, including the following:
- We’ve discussed multiple client scenarios, including one in which a couple was about to have a baby, about to have one spouse stop working, and about to combine finances for the first time. We discussed what assessment to use to start uncovering their attitudes and potential fit with new roles in the household.
- The community touched on clarifying questions about assessment results and how those questions can lead to a deeper understanding of the client’s experiences and identify areas where advisors can add greater value to the client relationship.
- As a community, we’ve provided suggestions to our members during live sessions about onboarding workflows and what will work best for client discovery, in-depth life experience-type conversations, and follow-up.
- We discussed practical ways to implement the Investor Profile RTQ for in-depth conversations around investing experiences, providing suggestions about workflows from experienced community members and our insights from working with advisors.
These are just a few examples of how the community has interacted during our monthly live sessions and through our community portal in the last four months. If you are you searching for a community that provides practical guidance on the human side of money, we welcome you to join Trove.
